A club's public SetPiece team page on an iPhone, branded in the club's maroon (not SetPiece green). A small SetPiece logo sits in the top chrome; below it an eyebrow 'RUGBY', the team name 'Riverside Rugby Club', and a tagline 'Men's & women's XV · all levels welcome'. A full-width maroon 'I'm interested' button sits under a note: 'One minute. No account needed. The coach gets your details directly.' Sections follow: ABOUT (a short blurb), PRACTICE (calendar icon 'Tue & Thu, 6:30pm', map-pin 'Riverside Park, Pitch 3'), and FIND US (email, Instagram @riversiderugby, website). A maroon 'Join Riverside Rugby Club' button anchors the bottom.

How it works

From a shared link to a rostered player.

Off-season recruiting usually lives in Instagram DMs, a Google Form, and a group chat that nobody can find later. SetPiece turns it into one branded page and one pipeline — and unlike a generic form, the players you sign flow straight into your squad.

A team page you can actually share

Your colours, your tagline, your practice times and location, your socials. Publish it and share the link or QR code — on a poster, in a story, in a freshers'-fair handout. It reads as your club, not as generic software.

  • Branded in your team colours — not SetPiece green.
  • Practice schedule, location and socials built in.
  • One link or QR code to share anywhere.

One tap to interested — no account

A prospect taps "I'm interested" and fills a one-minute form: name, email or phone, year in school, whether they've played before, and the position they fancy. No login, no app store. Their details land with the coach immediately.

  • One-minute form: name, contact, year, experience, position.
  • No account, no download — works on any phone.
  • Honeypot-protected against bot spam.
The 'I'm interested' join form on an iPhone, branded maroon. Eyebrow 'RECRUITING', heading 'Join Riverside Rugby Club', sub 'One minute. No account needed.' Filled fields: Your name 'Alex Morgan'; Email 'alex.morgan@gmail.com' and Phone '(503) 555-0142' side by side; Year 'Sophomore'; 'Played rugby before?' set to 'Some — touch / a few sessions'; 'Interested in a position?' 'Back row'; and a notes box reading 'Played a season of touch in HS, free most evenings.' A full-width maroon 'Send to Riverside Rugby Club' button sits below, with a '← Back to Riverside Rugby Club' link.

A pipeline, not a spreadsheet

Every lead lands at Interested. Move them through Contacted → At practice → Rostered as the off-season plays out (or mark them Dropped). Each card carries their contact, year and position interest, and a rostered prospect flows into your squad — ready for availability and match-day lineups.

  • Five stages: Interested, Contacted, At practice, Rostered, Dropped.
  • Cards show contact, year, position interest and source.
  • Rostered prospects become squad players in one step.
The recruiting prospect pipeline on a tablet in SetPiece green. A left sidebar lists Sessions, Playbook, Matches, Squad, Recruiting (active) and Settings. The header reads 'RECRUITING · Prospect pipeline · 12 leads' with 'Public page' and 'Add prospect' buttons. Five kanban columns follow — Interested (4), Contacted (3), At practice (2), Rostered (2), Dropped (1) — each holding prospect cards. A card shows a name, a coloured stage tag (gold 'New', blue 'Sent', amber 'Practice', green 'Roster', grey 'Drop'), a contact line, and a footer like 'Sophomore · Back row · via team page'.

Why recruiting inside your coaching app

A Google Form collects names. This builds your squad.

Google Form

  • Looks like a form, not your club.
  • Answers sit in a spreadsheet, disconnected.
  • No stages, no follow-up, no squad link.

Instagram DMs

  • Interest lost in the message requests.
  • No record of who you replied to.
  • Nothing carries into the season.

Other coaching apps

  • Built for football, or for rugby league.
  • Plan sessions, but don't help you recruit.
  • No shareable, branded team page.

SetPiece

  • Branded team page, shareable by link or QR.
  • One-tap interested form, no account.
  • Full pipeline, Interested → Rostered.
  • Rostered players flow into your squad. Free.

Common questions

Rugby recruiting FAQ

Do interested players need an account or app?
No. They open your team page, tap "I'm interested", and fill a one-minute form. Their details go straight to the coach — no login, no app store.
Is recruiting free?
Yes. Squad management and recruiting are free, forever. The in-season tools — session planner, playbook, drill library and match-day lineups — are the single paid plan.
Does it work for schools, colleges and clubs?
Yes. The form captures year in school and prior experience for high-school and college recruiting, and works just as well for senior and youth clubs. You brand the page with your own colours and details.
What happens when a prospect joins?
They land at Interested; you move them to Contacted, At practice and Rostered. A rostered prospect flows into your squad.
